“The Unusual Me” is an immersive art exhibition that invites viewers into the deepest and often concealed aspects of people's lives, uncovering the complexities of what it means to be truly whole. Through cinematically staged photographs, video vignettes and interactive performance art, the guests will explore the tension between public facades and private truths. Each of us project a public persona seen by friends and family and yet there are parts of ourselves we reveal only to a select few, or sometimes, never at all. “The Unusual Me” fearlessly delves into these secret fragments of our private identities and presents a surreal visual exploration of our contrasting duality and encourages empathy for what it means to be human.
Note: The following selection of images serves to illustrate the scope of work in the “Unusual Me” series. This series delves deeply into the concealed aspects of the human condition, exploring themes such as gay cruising, adultery, abduction, sex work, cults, possession, and sexual fetishes. The final curation of these images will be presented in both the exhibition and the accompanying book, “The Unusual Me.”

“The Unusual Me” exhibition will offer an immersive experience that goes beyond a traditional art show. Opening night will feature characters from the exhibit interacting with guests. The viewer’s experience is further enhanced with projections of video vignettes, a specially curated soundtrack and "Unusual Me” themed drag performances. Guests will also be encouraged to contribute their own “Unusual Me” confessions, which will be showcased throughout the event, creating a communal wall of hidden identities and shared stories. The blend of visual, auditory, and interactive components will celebrate the often beautiful and complex facets of our private selves.
